Learn to please not only your stomach but also your eyes with this natural sweet tooth sensation. The first of many more dairy free rainbow smoothie recipes to come, this one combines three rows composed of the sweet gliding taste of avocado, covered by a layer of honeyed mango and sealed with a glistening red strawberry topping. Raw and 100% unprocessed, this is a glass best served cold!
Time needed: 5-10 mins
-Strawberry smoothie layer:
2 cups strawberries
1 cup water
1 tbs honey ( or agave nectar for vegan option)
-Mango smoothie layer:
1 large ripe mango
1/2 cup water (adjust aaccording to thickness)
–Avocado Smoothie Layer Recipe
1. Start with the avocado layer for the bottom, blend the ingredients for the avocado smoothie and pour at the bottom of a glass. Ensure that the consistency is thick.
2. Then ( in a clean blender) combine the mango smoothie ingredients, make sure the consistency is still thick ( but not as thick as the avocado layer). Pour over the avocado layer using a soon. ( Tip: flip the spoon and pour over the back so that the mango layer slides down softly and doesn’t push into the avocado layer)
3. Again, in a clean blender, make the strawberry layer. It will not be too thick so don’t worry about the consistency too much as it will rest at the top. Use the same technique of pouring with the spoon as you did the mango layer.
Serve immediately for best effect !
